When Surface Preparation Is Needed

In some instances, surface preparation is needed to prepare a surface for line marking to ensure long-term paint adhesion. Surfaces such as sealed concrete floors, highly polished or burnished floors and floors with heavy surface contaminants may benefit from mechanical surface preparation.

We use grinding and scarifying with extraction to remove old marking cleanly and prepare the surface for new work.

How do you remove old line markings?+

We use mechanical grinding and scarifying with state of the art extraction to remove redundant or failing markings and surface contaminants cleanly and safely.

Will grinding damage the surface?+

Unfortunately surface scarring is inevitable with grinding, however we aim to always minimise surface scarring and aim to cover up any scarring with new line markings.

Can you remove and re-mark in one visit?+

In some cases, yes. Removing old lines and setting out the new layout in a single visit reduces site disruption and cost but depends heavily on the extent of line removal. We will advise you of time frame required when providing you with a quote.
